WE NEED HELP

Dear people,
we are in desperate need of fosterers due to the large number of dogs under our care. To make matters worse there aren't any more adoption drives this month but the rescues have increased. Here are some of the dogs and puppies that need temporary fosterers.

We found this dog when she was heavily pregnant and she has since given birth and her pups are about two months old. The pups are all healthy and have been vaccinated. The mum dog has also been vaccinated and neutered. We are hoping that some kind sould will take in this mum and her pups until our next adoption drive next month.

Looking for a home

On the day he was found
This dog was rescued not long ago and he is believed to be a lost dog. He has been neutered and vaccinated and we are hoping that he can bes fostered until at least the end of Jan 2011.
They are all now boarding at one of our panel clinics and this is costing us the money we do not have.

Hello people at MDDB!:)

I have not reading your blogs for a long time (busy) but when i went in i notice that you are having some arguments with petpositive and some other ppl or another groups.

I feel that i have to kaypoh a little on this subject so here goes. I think petpositive is not wrong for asking the gov vet to help the majlis in klang. By getting the vet doctor to do euthanasia the professional way I think is consider humane because it is supposed to be quick, painless and dignity. So sad to say it but until the stray overpopulation becomes more under control tru other methods like pet responsibility, the majlis will still have to catch the strays but also must prevent their suffering in the most responsible and humane way as possible. The euthanasia of unwanted animals even if they are healthy or not if done properly by the gov vet department or any vet doctor, is the most compassion way. They got no choice because only very few people go to claim the dogs and even more few want to adopt from the majlis. You also got say its hard to find ppl to adopt your strays. In some places when i was in Indonesia i hear that the ppl catch the dogs and bash the head to kill it because no money for drugs and nobody want the dogs.So is lucky that klang majlis got the money to put the dogs to sleep properly.

Letting go strays loose on malaysian roads even if you neuter and spay them is not really a good idea. They can starve and die from starvation, suffer and die from disease, get sick from having no shelter, get hit by a vehicles and if they are lucky they die on the spot but if not lucky they will suffer to the end because no one will help, they may be tortured by cruel people or even caught and eaten by vietnamese people! The last one is a rumor i heard!

Instead of blaming and sabotage the majlis, the gov vets dept and petpositive for helping, mddb should think of using the donations money to open free or discount spay and neuter klinik kembiri because many many owners of pets got no responsibility and dont want to pay it themself because they are cheapskate.
