PLEASE HELP US HELP TASHI

This is Tashi and she is a stray.

Tashi is currently heavily pregnant and hangs around outside the house where she gets her daily meals in Bandar Sg Long. The person who wants to help Tashi cannot take her in because she is already overloaded with six dogs.

From her looks – the forehead, nose area and nails – we can see that she is shar pei cross. Sadly this means Tashi is a product of human inconsideration whereby an unneutered male shar pei must have probably be let loose to sow his bloody wild oats.

We simply cannot take even one dog in at the moment and hope that we will be able to make space if some of our adult dogs are hopefully adopted next weekend. Till then we are begging for a place for Tashi to stay and have her babies.

We will put her pups up for adoption before neutering Tashi and finding her a permanent home. Please, please help us help poor Tashi.

Please call 019-3576477 if you can help us give Tashi a second chance in life.

INTERESTED IN AN OIL PAINTING TO SUPPORT MDDB

An art gallery and artist have come to our aid by providing a special service that will help you capture and keep memories of your pet on canvas. Part of the proceeds from the oil painting will come to MDDB and we thank the art gallery and artist for their generous gesture. The cost of an oil painting with the frame is RM400 and you can also have a portrait of you and your pet painted for the same amount. All you have to do is to give us a picture of your and your pet or your pet alone to get it replicated on canvas. Interested please write to malaysiandogsdeservebetter1@gmail.com.

NAPOLEON THE HERO

SIZE OF WOUND HAS DECREASED
PARTS OF THE SKIN THAT HAS BEEN STITCHED-UP IS HEALING WELL
NAPOLEON STANDING STILL AS HIS WOUND IS BEING CLEANED
ALL DONE AND READY TO GO BACK TO HIS BEDROOM.

We also visited Napoleon and the little tyke is doing very well. The size of the wound is decreasing and the best part is that he now has a clean wound instead of a festering one. However, there is still the danger of infection.

UPDATES ON MIMI CHITTA AND HER MUMSY

We visited Chitta today and was glad to see that her nose was healing well. According to the vet Mimi Chitta appears to be more confident as her mother is also admitted to the same clinic. Matter of fact Mimi Chitta has even started to bark. Thanks to the excellent work by the vets, Mimi Chitta now has a nose of sorts in spite of losing her entire nose in the machete episode.

Meanwhile Mimi Chitta's mother was spayed today and the vet found a lump under one of her nipples which they believe is cancer. They removed one of her teats together with the tumour and it (the tumour) will be sent to the lab to determine if it is indeed cancer.
We fell this is necessary as Mimi Chitta's mother, who the vet says is about 7 years old, will be going back to the owners and will have little access to veterinary care. In the event it is determined that the lump is cancer, then we can tell the owners to immediately inform us if other lumps spring-up so that the necessary can be done.
Luckily Mimi Chitta's mother was brought to the clinic on Sunday - otherwise no one would have known about the lump and if it is cancer as suspected, she would have be facing a lot of pain and misery.

The Chitta Mimi Chronicles

MIMI CHITTA, MUMMY AND MEI CHEE

When we received a call this morning informing us that Chitta and broken free and was running wild in SS17 Subang Jaya, we were at our wits end.
Apparently she had broken free from her leash when the vet had taken her for her routine morning walk.
We know for a fact that being Sunday, the traffic in that area would be very heavy and worried that the worst could happen to Chitta.
Luckily for us the clinic had also called Dr Chan Kah Yein from Animalcare who immediately rushed over to look for Chitta.
Koo joined her shortly after and together with Christine as well as the clinic's vet and another vet from PJ, Dr Chan and the rescue group went on the hunt again.
But Chitta proved to be elusive - so everyone decided to leave her alone for a bit and left some food for her outside the clinic hoping that she would return when hunger pangs set in.
But we were not able to imagine the possibility of Chitta having to spend even a night straying given the tubes that were hanging from the nose.
So we decided to bring Cheetah's doggie mummy and her owner down to SS 17 to lure Chitta out. Reco and Mikheala went all the way to Semenyih to get the dog and owner as well as owner's daughter whilst Myers, Collin and Marina joined the search party. We think Catherine was also there for a while.
The minute Chitta's mother and human family arrived, Chitta was secured within minutes. All Chitta's human sister Mei Chee had to do was to call out to the dog and apparently Chitta was called Mimi by them.
Since our SS17 panel vet were already closed, we took Chitta and her mother for boarding at our PJ panel clinic and they will both be transferred to SS 17 first thing tomorrow morning.
Thank you Dr Chan for being there for us and beautifully chronicling Chitta Mimi's misadventure today. A big thank you also to our Christine, Koo, Myers, Mikheala, Reco and Collin.
