UPDATES ON MIMI CHITTA AND HER MUMSY

We visited Chitta today and was glad to see that her nose was healing well. According to the vet Mimi Chitta appears to be more confident as her mother is also admitted to the same clinic. Matter of fact Mimi Chitta has even started to bark. Thanks to the excellent work by the vets, Mimi Chitta now has a nose of sorts in spite of losing her entire nose in the machete episode.

Meanwhile Mimi Chitta's mother was spayed today and the vet found a lump under one of her nipples which they believe is cancer. They removed one of her teats together with the tumour and it (the tumour) will be sent to the lab to determine if it is indeed cancer.
We fell this is necessary as Mimi Chitta's mother, who the vet says is about 7 years old, will be going back to the owners and will have little access to veterinary care. In the event it is determined that the lump is cancer, then we can tell the owners to immediately inform us if other lumps spring-up so that the necessary can be done.
Luckily Mimi Chitta's mother was brought to the clinic on Sunday - otherwise no one would have known about the lump and if it is cancer as suspected, she would have be facing a lot of pain and misery.
