CRUELTY AGAINST DOGS AT ITS WORST

JERRY BEING TAKEN TO HOSPITAL
JERRY - BELIEVED TO BE HIT ON THE BACK
DOG FOUND IN FRONT OF PJ HILTON
PUPPY KICKED AND IN A COMA
PUPPY IN THE VETERINARY HOSPITAL
MORONS!!!!!
We were troubled to see the picture of two morons with a hanged puppy. But we are not surprised. Last week someone we know asked us for help. Apparently a puppy hanging from a rope was tied outside his friend's pet shop. Luckily, the puppy survived. We told them to allow the puppy to get over its ordeal before being vaccinated and handed over to us. Then about three weeks ago one of our adopters stumbled upon a dog lying by the side of Kesas Highway. The dog was dehydrated and suffered some internal injuries. The owner of a nearby workshop told the lady the dog had been knocked down at about 8.00am and it was almost 2.00pm when she saw the poor dog. No one, including the workshop owner, had even bothered to call for help. The lady rushed the dog to us and we admitted him to veterinary clinic. He died the same night. Then there is Jerry - he was crawling behind some houses in Taman Andalas, Klang. It is believed someone had hit him with a stick and injured his back - making him unable to walk. We admitted him to a veterinary clinic and he is still there and will be coming to our half-way-home soon. He still can't walk. Then there was the Terrier cross that was mowed down near PJ Hilton. No one bothered to help until a friend's sister and her husband spotted the dog. We rushed her to a veterinary hospital and she survived for over two weeks but died all of a sudden. She was wearing a collar - how did she get there? The vet says she had extensive internal injuries. The worst case is the puppy we rescued in Kapar. Someone living in the area had witnessed the puppy being kicked - he called us - we went to the scene immediately and rushed the puppy to a veterinary hospital. The puppy never regained consciousness and died a week later. How can you expect animals to be treated well by lay people when government bodies such as local councils condone and practice cruelty towards dogs?

Fosterer Needed

Dear people,
remember this lady? We rescued her several months ago after she met with an accident and got stuck in a culvert. Initially the vet said she was paralysed due to severe spinal chord injury. With veterinary care she is now able to stand and walk a little. Given this she has to exercise her limbs by walking around and cannot be confined in a cage. We are imploring anyone living in a house with a garden to take her in for a few months. Those who don't have a garden but can take her for at least two walks a day can also help foster us. Please help us - this lady has come a long way and needs your help to finally get on the road to recovery.

LOST DOG

We received a call from a beauty saloon owner a few days ago frantically seeking help for a lost deog. The well-groomed dog was wandering around the shops in Section 5 Petaling Jaya begging for food but was abused instead by some of the people there. The beauty saloon owner took the dog into her premises and frantically called various parties for help - unfortunately no one could help her. Finally someone gave her our number and we sent one of ous volunteers there to pick the dog up. The poor canine is currently under our custody and we will be neutering it before searching for its owners. Anyone who knows this fellow please call 019-3576477.

We are trying our best

Dear people,
we have been receiving dozens of calls with people calling and asking us to take in puppies and dogs found by them. At this juncture we are asking for a little help and understanding. Please keep them with you until we have adopted out the current batch we have with us. We will provide you the cages and food as well as pay for veterinary care. Sometimes, people tend to get impatient and tell us they are busy when we are not able to attend to them immediately. Please also understand that we are working people and some of us have very demanding careers. We don't not talk about ourselves on this blog because we want MDDB and MCCP to be strictly about cats and dogs. That is why we do not really talk about the challenges we go through or the things we do as individuals to help these poor animals. You will also not see pictures of any of us - that is why some of you do not know the people behind MDDB and MCCP. We have also been asked why we do not show ourselves on the blog - the reason is simple. We do not want to project ourselves as good Samaritans and do-gooders. We are ordinary people doing what we believe is the right thing to do. So, we feel there is no need for any form of self-promotion and glorification. So, please understand our stance on this. If you want to know us - please come to our adoption drives and you'll get to meet the individuals behind MDDB and MCCP.

Cheers.

URGENT HELP NEEDED

Dear people, we are in desperate need of your help. We have about 12 young dogs aged between 8 months to a year old. We are desperately looking for fosterhomes for them as the boarding cost at the clinics is making us go bust. Our ha;f-way-home is full to the brim and we are desperate. If one person can foster one dog - it would be a great help to us. We are at our wits end and need fosterers urgently. We promise to get them adopted within two months as we are going to go on a media blitz. Please help. Call 019-3576477 or 02-3739007.
