This dog travelled from the pound to the clinic with her head one her rescuer's lap. She also showed her appreciation by licking everyone hands.

This guy was very quiet and frightened.
One of the rescued puppies which cannot move its right leg. Its being treated at the clinic.

This handsome fellow has a bad case of skin disease
The guys rescued from the pound waiting to be examined at the clinic.
Blackie - very naughty - gave a hard time on the way to the clinic but very loving. Being checked by vet.

Dear all,

The protest at the DBKL pound in Setapak went on well and we were shocked to find that the carcasses of the dead dogs were dumped into an open grave. This in itself is indicative of the shoddy way in which the place is being managed.

We removed four dogs and seven puppies from the pound after paying a nominal sum of RM100 which were part of the contribution collected at the site.

We hope to return for four more dogs and a puppy which we could not take the other day as they had just been brought in.

The pictures of the dogs are attached. Pictures of the puppies coming soon.

There were dozens of dogs at the pound and we are heartbroken that we cannot help all of them.

Now my human tells me that we have to look for farms where these unfortunate brothers and sisters of mine can be sent to after being neutered.

We have to also raise money to pay for the boarding fee of the four dogs and seven puppies rescued from the pound.

Thankfully Ms Sherrina K of the IPR had paid for the neuterring of the four dogs as well as the vaccination and deworming of the six puppies.

However, we have to also raise money for the neutering as well as the vaccination of the four dogs and puppies that we will be bringing in from the pound sometime next week.

If any of you know of any corporate entities which are willing to help with sponsorship please call 019-3576477.

We are also desperately looking for people to foster some of these dogs and puppies pending adoption. Its crucial that people foster the bigger dogs as only then can we bring the remaining dogs in for treatment. Call the above number if interested.

Just a personal preference, I'd prefer that the blog posts be signed and written from the humans point of view instead of SPS's 'doggy' view because these are serious issues we are talking about and all the 'woof woof's seem rather immature to me.

Glad to know those dogs are getting care from you guys. Wish I could be there but I'm here in Kuching so it's kinda far xD

Dear Anonymous,

I believe that there's nothing immature about a dog blogging to help other dogs. It gives this blog a sense of identity - and rest assured that the content would be the same regardless of whom the resident blogger is. Its SPS that attracted me to this blog in the fisrt place.

These doggies are so lucky to have found good hearted individuals like you - hope they will go to a good home. Why not check with NGO to get a site to house all these miserable strays.

Hello, Just want to ask if the Animal Health Centre @ Ara address is correct as it is the same for Thomas Animal Clinic & Pet Corner (for Doberman rescue).

Hi,

the cheques for both the clinics are sent to a member's house so that details of the senders as the amount sent can be recorded and tabulated before th cheques are handed over to th respective clinics. This makes our accounting work easy. Furthermore, we need noot go and bother the vets by asking them how many cheques had arrived during donation drives.
