Persecution of dogs rescuers, lovers and fosterers

We have been informed that a few local councils - due to bad advise - will be going around inspecting homes to see if the dogs have been licensed. They owners will be issued licenses on the spot and then given a stipulated time to get the dog vaccinated etc. This is ridiculous as the purpose of a license is not to control numbers but to indicate that the dog has been vaccinated. According to these clueless people, this is THE WAY to curb strays!!!! We are shocked with the level of ignorance shown here. The ONLY way to manage the stray problem is to implement TNRM on the streets and not by persecuting people who own dogs. Let's say these bunch of clueless people go to a fosterer's home and she has six dogs whilst the by-laws state that she can only keep one - what will happen to the other five? Let's also say that someone has four dogs she or he is only allowed two - however, the dogs do not pose a problem to anyone as they live indoors with the owners. What happens to the other two dogs? Will she or he have to 'get rid' of them? The local council should refrain itself from implementing no-brainer plans such as these and should concentrate on busting illegal breeders and refrain from abundantly giving out permits for pet shops to sell animals. The councils should also seriously look at TNRM which is working well in neighbouring countries. Why can't we successfully implement TNRM like our neighbours? Are they soooo bodoh that they can actually think that persecuting dog owners, lovers and fosterers is the solution? We have also been told that a particular exco member will be going on the rounds. We have only this to say to him - you embark on this no-brainer persecution of dog owners, lovers and fosterers - you be prepared for a demonstration against you at the State Secretariat building! Think again before you knock on doors.

The council in teluk intan this year 2011 comes out a new stupid rules, before owner allowed to be given a license to the dog... the dog owner needs to provide a pic of your dog, and bring ur dog to vet clinic and come out with a health report to submit to majlis perbandaran and ALSO the last procedure is to bring the form given by majlis perbandaran Teluk intan to ask signatures from both of ur neighbours who is living on ur left and right for their permission to let you keep the dog...
My question is ...what if that owner already own 3dogs all dis while... and now no licience coz have to undergo stupid procedures? owner need to kill the other two dogs?

i'm feel so disappointed with the brainless rules in my state in this country... why not you council pay more attention and summoned those irresponsible owner who letting or throwing their pet illegally instead of pet lovers who do responsible taking care of their own dogs?

Instead of going for those damn breeders and petshops that sell animals, they go for those who are actually doing them a favour, keeping strays off the streets. Someone please tell these buttheads that if they can't think intelligently, quit. Go after the arses of those who contribute to strays. Really, another case of to confirm that the authorities have shit where their grey matter should be. Maybe this is one way of forcing people to chuck their animals to the streets and when the dogcatchers come, more money in their coffers when the dogs are redeemed. Or has the price per dog caught increased? Stupid butthead malaysians.

An enquiry has been made at an Adun's office. They doubt very much an Exco member has the time to go on rounds to help check on houses for dogs and licences. They want to know the Exco's name... if you know the name and can confirm it, can you publish the name?
Enforcement officers from councils can go on rounds for checking on dog licences. Are the regulations for dog licences being made more stringent by the various councils? I know that in MBPJ, no vaccination or health certs are necessary for renewal of licences. I know that because I have a dog and I stay in PJ area. We just renew by paying RM10 at the MBPJ office. In fact, no vaccination certs or health certs are necessary to get a new dog licence in MBPJ area. Just a pic of the dog... fill in form and get your dog licence.

Its really stupid to go around people's houses and dogs. MDDB has a point, what if someone has more than the number of dogs they are allowed to keep???? This will give way to dumping and broken hearts. The ADUN in question should not embark on such a dumb exercise.

What crap! There are so many things the state government can do to help counter the stray problem but instead this adun is going to go around wasting time and people's money. He or she is going to create more problems than settling the current problems.
