Wanna adopt dog must pay how much? Got male puppy to adopt? How old?

Noticed you mentioned "pay off" escalating veterinary bills. Try to "pay off" the oldest debts first and the ones you've been avoiding for so long. And remember this the next time, just because you avoid them doesn't mean that what you owe is written off. It's considered lucky for you that they didn't add any interest or additional service charge to the total ammount after so long!

"Mohandas", shut up will you. You attempts to sabotage MDDB will not work. f you are so concerned, pay the bill for MDDB.

Russel Chia said...

I don't think Mohandas is trying to discredit or sabotage you MDDB. He probably knows the vets personally. I have also heard rumors of your pending veterinary debts from my friends. I think maybe you should pay them to settle this matter.

karmen said...

Instead of critising MDDB for payment owed to the vets, why don't you help donate or raise funds for the dogs they are trying to save? All MDDB supporters know they owe money to the vets. It is not a situation anybody wants but please don't forget the main aim of the cause.

Russel Chia said...

Dear Karmen,

Please do not take what I mentioned as harsh critisism. Instead take it as advice or constructive criticism. Looking at a creditors point of view, I certainly understand the angst the writer feels. It would not be fair to ask Mohandas to help donate or raise funds to help your organization pay the people you owe. As it is, he probably is trying to help the creditors collect their money as is rightfully theirs.

Your cause although considered somewhat noble in nature could collapse because of these issues and loose ends that were brought up.

In response to PRETTY as posted on Monday, November 15, 2010

I think Anonymous is the one who doesn't understand what Alfred E.Neuman is trying get at. Alfred clearly wants to know if there are any updates on the police reports against the list mentioned. He did state "I was referring to the story posted by MDDB, "ASKING FOR HELP" in lodging police reports against:".

Alfred also stated "How come the MDDB organization didn't do it themselves? Isn't it better that an NPO make the report since you are an organization with members?".

To this he was given yet another classic dodge by Anonymous stating "How do you know we did not lodge reports? Search for old posts you nitwit".

Since the retort was yet again answered by an Anonymous, how is Alfred to confirm who exactly is this "WE" as in "How do you know we did not lodge reports?". Notice also Alfred started his comments with "Dear MDDB" with references to the author? "Posted by Sharmini Popiko Sasha". Shouldn't the author, Sharmini Popiko Sasha or a named representative from MDDB take the initiative to answer Alfred?

Who does this Anonymous represent? After Alfred's question, "How come the MDDB organization didn't do it themselves?", the quick rebuttle was "How do you know we did not lodge reports? Search for old posts you nitwit" by Anonymous yet again. Clearly, based on this fact, it can be safe to assume that Anonymous clearly represents MDDB in some capacity and MDDB had indeed made police reports against the people in the lists.

Which in the end, boils down to the final question. If MDDB had indeed lodged police reports themselves against those people mentioned in the list. Wouldn't it be better just to give Alfred the outcome of the police report as in his orginal question instead of calling him names and dodging about?

Perhaps Alfred is an anonymous MDDB donor who sincerely wants to know the outcome of the police report. Isn't the author somewhat obliged to at least give some clarification on the matter? Why the "Jack Dawkins@Artful Dodger" tactics? Incidently, I noticed that this happens a whole lot in this blog.

This itself is very discouraging to newbies wanting to dedicate themselves to MDDB's cause. I believe MDDB is obligated to answer all questions and comments posted by readers and be responsible in the answers given to your readership since MDDB is after all an NGO/NFO that clearly appeals to the general public for their donations.

How can it be rumours when MDDB itself constantly says it owes vets money? MDDB regularly says in its posts that its vet bills are increasing and it needs money to pay up. Therefire the use of the term rumour is an oxymoron. If at all these are genuine people questioning MDDB and not one person with multiple identities, they will call MDDB's number and as for a dialogue. From what I see here, this is all an attempt of sabotage by a single individual. Instead of asking vague questions about police reports, why not ask to meet MDDB's accountants as this has been offered many times by MDDB. I seriously think this is a hatchet job in progress against WM.

Rescuing strays is not an easy or cheap job for the faint hearted. You think vet bills are cheap? I have dogs too...and spent about 1K plus over a month and a half for a stray pup i picked up from the streets with distemper. How much more for the many strays they try to rehome. Remember, talk is cheap - so unless you get your hands dirty and help in some ways, do shut up and let MDDM do their work.

What I see is that MDDB and Furry Friends Farm and a few of the IPR are the only ones really making a difference. This despite some so called society that claims to prevent cruelty to animals that has existed since independence. So Very Sorry. But, my faith lies in MDDB. And we certainly need to do more to help it raise money, so that it can continue its good work.

As for uncalled for comments that detract people from the real work; CELAKA LAH YOU. GET LOST AND GO GET A LIFE.

Guan Hoe,

I think they dont charge for you getting a dog from them, as long as you can provide a good home to it. If I remember correctly, there is a small fee for vaccination. Call the contact persons (Wani or Christine, there is a Malay lady as well who volunteers - i cant remember her name)to get details.

I adopted from them before, and they (together with some of the other pet rescuers) are the most committed bunch I ever seen in KL...See them spending a lot of their weekends looking for homes for strays, and nursing the injured ones.

Sad to say, it is so easy for arm chair critics to spend so much time writing in to criticise their work and find fault, rather than roll up their sleeves and help a good cause.

sigh...It is the welfare of the strays that shud be the focus.....

Sharmini Popiko Sasha, members of MDDB and Thomas:

What is so vague about my questions and comments that would be so difficult to comprehend? Remember, those "vague issues", were mentioned by the author himself.

So if indeed, a police report was made against the people in the list, shouldn't MDDB be responsible in revealing the outcome to their blog readers, supporters or Alfred instead of dodging around?

Quoting the author in one of his posts to a certain Dr.Xavier - Talk is cheap! We want action!

On another note Sharmini Popiko Sasha and MDDB:

As an animal rights group, you shouldn't be supporting that turncoat Matthew Scully by printing his quote: "Animals are now more than ever a test of our character, of mankind's capacity for empathy and for decent, honorable conduct and faithful stewardship. We are called to treat them with kindness, not because they have rights or power or some claim to equality, but in a sense because they don't; because they all stand unequal and powerless before us."

I was so surprised that you didn't know, being an animal rights group, that Matthew Scully was also the speechwriter that wrote the speech for Sarah Palin that endorsed the shooting of innocent animals. Worse yet AERIAL SHOOTING! Back home, most of us don't support him.

Hey MDDB,

What's the minimum period for fostering?
I am asking on behalf of two couples, who are keen to foster, but not too sure of what it entails.

Thanks

Well said, Russel!!!! Twisting and turning is a popular and often used method used by MDDB and Wani. They should just come clean.

Mohanadas said...

And to anonymous (obviously from MDDB),the "so called society that claims to prevent cruelty to animals that has existed since independence" as you mentioned have done so much more for the animals than Wani or MDDB. All Wani@MDDB does is fabricate stories, make empty claims and owe vets money.

Anonymous said...

Sorry to disappoint you Mahandas, I am not from MDDB, or any groups. Just someone who really like animals. I wish I could help out more, but I am not based in KL, workwise.

Just curious, if you are so against them, why don't you start your own animal welfare group, or blog to help strays, rather than spend so many hours writing long emails to criticize MDDB on MDDB's blog? Then again, they are generous enough not to censor your comments...

No more comments from me after this, as this negativity is not productive use of my time or anyone's for that matter. The dogs and cats dont benefit from all this venom.

Please keep up the good work, MDDB. Your record speaks for itself.

What you can do to help.

1. Lodge police reports at the Klang district police station. The gist of the report should be about the cruelty against dogs by Majlis Perbandaran Klang (MPK) and the report should be lodged against:

a) Selangor state executive councillor in charge of local councils Ronnie Liu

b) MPK president Mislan Tugiu

c) MPK Health department's acting director Zulkfli Abbas

d) MPK dog catchers

e) Majlis Perbandaran Klang

When i said GROW UP KIDDO i pertained it to u Russel Chia! can u stop it! i totally agree wif Hotmama that this "very free person" should not spend so much of his precious time here giving negative remarks. He should spend his time more fruitfully else where(anywhere but here!!).

And i think MDDB members are too busy wif the strays rather than resoponding to u. BTW do u realise that most of them are full time career persons too?

Don't you think it's funny that Sharmini Popiko Sasha is asking me to post a link to the post?

Alfred E Neuman, you idiot, Shamini Popiko Sasha is not asking for the link, I am. It was a cut and paste of your comment you fool. Now, give me the link.

Dear MDDB, funny that NJK mentioned police report as I was reading one of your stories where you mentioned about lodging a police report against some abusers.

Hey ppl, whats all this bickering! Give GilaWani (SPS) a break and forgive her. Even if she is obviously guilty for most of your allegations and likes to tell fantastic lies to cover her guilt, she is doing it for the animals!

Guilty of what allegations? I don't see any concrete allegations here. Please outline the allegations and provide the requested link.
